Title: Chat Room
Post by: captain ron on April 03, 2008, 06:56:13 AM
Some body might want to go in the chat room and check on Viking1 he's been in there since last night by himself, if he keeps that up he'll go blind.

I always wondered why 1 person would be in a chat room at a time, Can you talk to yourself in there?
if I were in there alone it would go like this "Beam me up Scotty no intelligent life down here"

When you're in there by yourself, that's when "the voices" talk to you in your head.   ;D

No actually, there is a flaw in the system that sometimes leaves a person's nick showing long after they leave.  I think it usually happens if their pop up blocker blocks the little "logging out of chat" window that pops up after exiting the chat window before it is done.  Basically a bad design to use a popup window for that function.

I knew there was flaw the first time I logged on and couldn't figure out how to log off. It should be easier to find.

Cute thread but, OTOH .............

Somebody has to be the first one to enter the CR.  If everyone waited until there was somebody already there then it wouldn't be all that useful.  Not that is necessarily "useful" anyway.  Entertaining yes - useful, maybe.

Maybe for you very experienced bus nuts it's not usefull.  But for us neophytes it is invaluable.  I learn something new almost every time I use the chat room.  And sometimes it is even bus related :)

I do appreciate the advice and information I get in the chat room.  You guys have the patience of saints to put up with my eternal questioning.  It is slowly sinking in and will save me a lot of heart ache in the future.  Thanks!

Just a subtle correction there Frank:

I didn't say it was NEVER useful.  Just not NECESSARILY useful information that you receive.
