Title: Even a short trip is good
Post by: skipn on March 31, 2008, 07:42:40 AM
Sunday it was time to take my bus to the new place. Most of my wood working tools are in the bus and I needed them at the new place for the remodeling that we are doing. Something must be wrong, buy a new place and start off by remodeling this is the third house I have owned and The third house I am remodeling. This one will be minor, replace the junk that is there.

Start the bus and it wouldn't air up past 60# then remembered to reattach the pressure regulator hose. Now it will only go to 80#. Decide to move the bus around a bit and see if something was just (?).  Moving it around on somewhat flat ground but a lot of ruts I get the bus stuck. Look in the mirror and the drives are just spinning and I'm going no where. Go back and release the pressure to the tags. Now I can get around. Only thing left is to wait for one of my family to pilot me to the new place. I replaced the speedo with a programmable style and don't know how close it is.

Everybody is too busy so off I go Get to the highway and fall in behind a truck. It appears my speedo is running 10mph to slow. Bus is running great big gusts of side wind and I just have minor corrections to keep it between the lines. Air pressure is up to 110# something is still not right but I only have 25 miles from the old place to the new place......took the long way around so I would have a left turn to the new driveway. Made it to the new place stop and get out and do a walk around......still have an oil leak somewhere and all of the rear air bags are only slightly aired up.  Go to pull it into the shop....won't fit 4" to high at the air conditioners. I only pulled in about 5 feet then backed out........now I notice a big crack in the concrete......was it there or did I just crack the floor.............

Long and short... more work but now I am on softer ground so I will probably need my tractor to get it moved from where it is now

Had the biggest grin going down the highway........just couldn't help myself.
