Title: skinner valve leaking 1981 MCI 9 Help!!
Post by: RickB on March 31, 2008, 05:18:30 AM
A skinner valve in my spare tire compartment is leaking at all times. It is attached by two small hoses to a small black round can and it is attached electrically by a single wire to a relay in my main wiring box located just below my drivers window. It is the farthest forward relay in the box and it is not on my MCI Manual. Anybody know what this relay runs? Hopefully it is something I can cap off otherwise where do I get skinner valves? I have an MCI parts place here in Nashville but I wanted to check with the REAL pro's first.
Thanks guys in advance,
Rick

I don't know what the particular valve is for in your bus but Skinner is a trade name and if your valve is Skinner then look in the Yellow Pages under Industrial Valves for your local Skinner dealer (now part of Parker-Hannefin). Skinner valves are easy to take apart and clean and repair kits are available for them.

Rick, post a pic of it, if you can. I'm sure one of us can identify it for you.  8)
