Title: MCI Rust Problems
Post by: Dallas on March 25, 2008, 03:46:16 AM
I've been working recently on a 102C3 that has the standard rust problems below the rear cap that most MCI owners are familiar with.

We are getting those areas repaired and the cracks in the cradle rails welded and gusseted.

However, as I was talking to one of the techs here, he was working on a 102D replacing an air bag on the rear.
He said he had spent about a half day on it because the upper mount, which goes up to the body of the coach had rusted it's mounting points in the body beyond any further use. He also told me that this the third or fourth of the D's he's had problems with in this respect.

Just one more place to inspect before you go buying one of the D models.

I hope this saves someone some grief on down the road.

Just another reason to buy an eagle, we don't discriminate against mounting brackets we're an equal opportunity ruster lol, why should mounting brackets have all the fun lol.

OH My,
Not another bus other than Eagles with rust issues.  How will anyone sleep at the RV parks?  ONLY KIDDING you guys.  But you see, all our girls have issues of some kind.  Think 10 years down the line. Don't run me off now!!
