We pulled out the original heat, AC coils and blower motor today. The motor still works although some of the vanes in the squirrel cages are bent and one is missing. This is a 24volt, 1hp motor. Are there any other places that one could use this? The space from the coils and motor will work almost perfectly for the 45 gallon propane tank we just got. By the way, are there any laws governing the number of propane tanks you can have? I was thinking of carrying a 7 gallon tank or two for quick fills if needed.
Hey Lin, Someone brought this topic up just a few weeks ago and I believe the general consensus was that so long as you weren't transporting LP commercially, it wasn't illegal. Most people that fulltime, myself included, have a diverter valve setup and an extra tank for carrying to the station when we're parked for awhile and don't want the hassle of moving the entire coach. I have a 35 gal built in and a 10gal upright mounted in the driver's side front cubby. I close the main tank and run off the portable whenever I'm going to be parked awhile. Hope this helps, Will
PS-How's my spelling? ;)
the biggest issue is that in certain areas (tunnels, metropolitan areas, some toll roads) you are not allowed to carry more than a specified amount of propane. I know some one on here has encountered that and may have a list of those places.

over a certain ammount the compartment should be placarded.
Just came across this website with some useful info on propane and other restrictions by state.
