Title: A real long shot question
Post by: Lin on March 04, 2008, 09:23:05 AM
There is a 6v92t/ht740 combo for sale.  The guy who has it says it came out of a 1987 Eagle that had a head on collision in Ohio.  Does anyone know the bus?

No.  Look for impact damage to the mounts, block, cases and stuff.  All that energy has to go somewhere in wrecks and it does strange things to mills and trannys.  :) :) :)

Lin, do you know if the bus is a model 10,15 or 20 Eagle

It might not be the same one but I saw a white Eagle listed for sale with MAJOR frontend damage.  I believe it was on ebay but I cannot promise this to be correct.  The entire front was mashed in pretty bad.  Wherever I saw it, the sale was for the whole bus.

If you are talking about the one on ebay a few weeks ago it had a series 60 and B500 trans so it would not be from it. dont know of any eagles wrecked recently but it could have been sitting for who knows how long.

If it is a 1987 it probably is a Model 15 as they started building 15's in late 1985
