Title: TRICO Air WW Valve
Post by: gus on March 03, 2008, 06:53:27 PM
I got such good results on the lock strip question now I'll try another one.

My air WW control valves leak slightly. I took one apart and saw that the problem is the small plastic disc with grooves and holes to route air to the proper places. The disc is slightly worn and allI need is one of those discs or a valve repair kit.

I've googled my brains out with negative results. Anyone have any ideas about where I can get these parts? The part number for the valve appears to be F-1430 and the disc is F-1442. It is made by the TRICO company which has been in the WW business for many years but I found nothing on their website except blades and arms.

I haven't used these guys yet, but have heard good things about them. You might give them a shout:

Gus,

Ours leak also. Don't know the maker but I will follow your thread to learn more. I'm in CA right now so can't go find out.

Good Luck,

Paul

Trico is now own by Stant Corp. Their website is down for now...for how long...????

Here a link to service & repair of UK version that from railcar manual:

Have you been to NAPA nearest store? They have heavy duty truck catalog to locate your parts if it still available.

Rome Truck advertise air wiper parts. Their requesting site is out of order for now???

I sent a e-mail in regard a online catalog or whatever available to obtain air control valve & motor parts.

FWIW

My motors are fine, it is only the leaky valve that is a problem.

Where do you find parts?

Do you overhaul the motors and valves?
