Since I changed a couple of fuel lines which led into changing all the fuel lines I decided to go ahead and pull the fuel pickup out. about 8 or 9 inches from the bottom of the tank is a plate that the pickup drops through. Well from the years of vibrating with the pickup up against it it had worn a slot into the tube that is about 35 thousands deep in the 40 thousand thick tube. I guess some good does come out of the domino effect of repairs. now if I could get far enough to get it on the road.

Hi.....Good that you found a preventive maintenance problem before being on trip.
What year & brand & model bus?
FWIW
Sojourn for Christ, Jerry
81 model 10 Eagle. dont know how many miles it really has but with having read about people in the past losing prime with fuel in the tank it seems that if others have a similar setup it could really cause a problem. it wouldnt have taken much more to wear through and I would be out of fuel with a quarter tank still in it. to any one who is like me and has the floor out I would recommend pulling the pickup just to check.
