Hi all,
So Gumpy said he might be needing a place to park a couple maybe more buses this summer in our lovely part of minnesquito.
I happen to have an unimproved 10 acre piece of ground that with a little work might just fit the bill.
So I bought a used tractor! Kubota L35 loader/backhoe.
The things we do just to have our bus friends over for a drink. :D
might even be able to call it a mini-rally. Oh dream a little dream"host a rally" ;D
How many bus pads should I build? If I build it, will they come?

I keep forgetting to call you, and I even have a note in front of me that say, "Call Devin." Imagine that.
I wish you'd have said something. I just happen to own a backhoe that would have worked good for building pads. I just don't have any way to transport it... and it's in the shop right now getting new clutches.
Well, tractors are like buses. Everyone needs one or two.
I'll call one of these days. This dang job thing keeps getting in the way ::)
Hmm, if we're going to do this, I better get some more beer brewed... and maybe some wine....

It's been a long time since I was at Bemidji.... only about 400miles from here....maybe...maybe....may even have to bring some of that good Canadian beer along..??......now to approach the 'war' department...ie "Dear, for Valentines Day, how about an all expense paid trip to Minnesota?

I had some of that up in BC in 2005. It was pretty good stuff.

I have to figure how to get it there. This week in s. mississippi, next week in arkansas to get the tractor and stop by homeplace #1, then on to Virginia for 6 weeks, then back to arky to get said tractor then on to homeplace #2 in Bemidji. Also have to get the 15,000 acres planted before I can start playing.
Can't call me at night cause of reception, but am usually avail. during day.

Last time I lived in Minnesota, Grain Belt and Hamms were brewed...... Are they still around? I was up there with our MCI8 last August for a couple of weeks in Elbow Lake. Did the Flekkefest thing..... ;D

If you're getting serious about brewing more beer, I have that beer making stuff to give you. When it comes to beer, quantity is important. A Minnesota rally would be a hoot but the summer weekends fly by. How about a mid September rally Devin?

That might work, and we may even have some of the bugs :o worked out by then.
We leave the north country for southern climes about 25 Oct. so plenty of time.
Gumpy wants to visit the headwaters state park which might be a nice side trip, maybe even a caravan!

Definitely call it a mini-rally. I wonder if we could get Brian Brown to come over from CO. Speaking of ... has anyone heard from Brian Brown lately? I don't recall any posts from him and the buffalo spaceship in a long time!
Yeah, I haven't heard from him since I saw him in WY in August. Hmmm....
Some friends of mine are coming down from AK in early July and want to see some of the north MN area. Also, I was contacted by a couple who are coming to MN to await the arrival of a grandchild, and want to get together. That's why I was requesting a mini rally in July.
Of course all this was put into the works before I found a job. So my participation will be limited to a weekend. We're also heading west on Aug 1 for 3 weeks.
I'm hoping we can do it about the 3rd week of July, and maybe there will be some blueberries ready for picking. Otherwise I might not get any this year and I really want to make another batch of blueberry wine.

My wife and I are trying to make a family get together on Fathers Day in Akeley. If we make it to that, we could help get it ready for the others? Of coarse we may have to do the Paul Bunyan Days Festival June 27-28-29. It would be nice to meet some folks from the area, Denis
