Thanks Nick!  That was cute.  At least it's almost 20 above zero here!  How about that up to code fireplace installation!

That's not funny when you're in it.

There's a grade south of Pocatello that goes on forever and steeps up near the top of the pass.  We were climbing it late one night with the 5th wheel we had before we bought the bus.  I don't remember which truck I had at the time but it was a Powersmoke, either a 1-ton single or a 3/4 ton, both were 4x4.  It was snowing hard and the pavement was covered with ice and snowpack.  About 1/2 way up the grade I started feeling the truck spin out if I tried to hold speed.  I popped it into 4x and kept pulling but I had to keep slowly backing out of the power every time I felt it start to break traction.  I didn't want to stop - no place to get off the pavement and it was snowing hard plus I wasn't 100% sure I could hold it if I did stop.  I was pretty relieved to get to the top of the grade - we couldn't have gone much farther up cuz we were going pretty slow by then.  Those are the moments you are really glad that mama is asleep - what she doesn't know won't hurt her.

Bob, I know that feeling well, when libby and I started our "run to the sun", we left in a nasty snow storm that was starting to wind up, our main intent was to get to a main road before your area got socked in, one grade about 10 miles from our house is a long one and not so gradual in a couple of spots. Several times I felt the back tires start to break loose and the bus start to swing, each time I had to back off the throttle slightly and let it catch again, I feathered that throttle all the way, by the time I reached the top of that hill, white knuckles had been replaced by a pucker that would have made a proctologist proud. Kind of a "been there, done that, bought the T-shirt" kind of thing, I sure know the feeling.

Great video, had a good laugh, because we live in the type of weather. And it can warm up anytime now, it has been a long winter for us. But next we will be complaining it is too hot!

Sorry but that was a great video.I too have had the chance to have that kind of driving. NOt much fun.Did the same on way back from Daytona with a fithwheel and through Va. had a snow storm and they do not know how to handle it there.Well The guy that I was helping out asked me to pull off the road and I told him where? He said anywhere. With that I told him we would get side swiped and with his new trailer that would not be a good thing.Well anyway made it just out side of the worst storm they have had in years and made it back home with out a scratch.Well none that I noticed anyway. ;D
