Please give help as to how to upload a picture to your profile. I've tried everything and the page just goes blank after a few seconds and nothing happens.
We have purchased a 1969 Eagle from an estate sale at a storage park in Florida and drove it home to Mississippi, a distance of 636 miles. It ran great and there were no problems. New tires had been installed just before it was placed in storage 4 years ago and we only had to replace 1 injector, the alternator, batteries and a wheel bearing before starting out. It has the 6V92 engine and Allison 4 speed automatic and there is a Power Tech 15 KW generator installed. I've never driven anything larger than a Lincoln till now but my brother-in-law ,a big bus fan, allerted me to the sale and talked me into buying. We camped for a week in Daytona on the way home and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to many more trips.

I have had the same problem.  Tried to post the picture of my 84 MCI 9 with no luck.  Hope this is not a pattern for how my luck will be when I start on my toy.  If you find out how to post let me know.

I use Geocities (free) to host my pics off of one of my web pages from them.

I put the url of my picture on Geocities in the line and select the radio box where it allows you to click
"I have my own pic:
Specify your own avatar by URL. (ex: http://www.mypage.com/mypic.gif)"

So my address looks like:
http://www.geocities.com/my account name/bus picture.jpg

May not be how everyone does it but I do, I just gotta resize my picture properly.

by the way, welcome!

Welcome eaglekelly and early retirement!  Kelly, we noticed you came in the chat room last night.  But our feelings were hurt when you didn't stick around to talk with us.   :(  Just kidding.  ;D  But please do drop in and chat with some of the folks here.  It is a very friendly bunch here.

Regarding the forum photo problem, they did have some problems with the forum database a couple days ago.  But it seems to working pretty good in general again since then.

My first guess is that the image size was too large.  The profile pics are displayed pretty small, just 65x65 pixels.  Within certain limits, the system will resize what you upload.  But if you try to upload too large of a photo, I think it would do just what you described.

If you have the ability to resize your photos on your computer, make a copy and then resize it to where the shortest dimension is 65 pixels.  Then crop the other dimension to 65 pixels and save the resized copy and try uploading it to the profile.

If you can't resize them on your computer, catch me in the chat room sometime and I will give you an email address to send it to me and I will resize it and send it back to you.

To show off your bus, go to the following thread:

POST YOUR BUS, INT, EXT,& FAMILY PICTURES HERE!  (http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=2547.0)

and add a reply, posting your photos in that reply.  It accomodate much larger photos up to 128KB.  Even this is smaller than many of today's digital cameras take.  But an easy way to tell is when it is stil on your computer, browse to it and hover the mouse over it in the folder listing.  It will tell you the size.  If it is more than 128KB it will need to be resized.  Again, if you need help with that, catch me in the chat room and I'll be glad to help.

Thanks to all. I finally got it to take. I kept reducing the size but it didn't accept it till I croped all the white border that was left around the picture after resizing.
I worked on the aux generator today. It starts and runs fine from down below but wont turn over from the dashboard control. Found that there was only 5 volts at the starter when the dash key is turned so I've got a bad connection somewhere.
