We have two roof airs in our MC7, one in the bed room & one in the living room, which are OK unless we are traveling facing the sun :( (the usual problem).
I am thinking about mounting an additional roof air unit on the fiberglass roof directly over the pilot/co-pilot area. It looks like I would have to do some fabrication as the area in question has the fresh air exhaust grill on the roof. Has anyone ever done this? Tried to do it? Suggestions?
BTW, our MC7 is stock, meaning the front is unchanged except the roof windows have been replaced by some type of plastic/rubber/floortile/unidentifiable inserts. I guess the glass was broken a long time ago and someone replaced it with whatever that stuff is.

I think your money would be better spent using ducted roof units in the normal positions on your roof.
This way, you can consintrate the air flow to the front driver area via the registers on/off..
It's just that I wouldn't want to see you put a roof wart that far forward on your bus. It may look a little silly... Maybe not!

I thought about ducted but the roof is not raised and I am 6' tall.... >:( >:(
I also thought about a RedDot dash system but I don't want to deal with refrigerant lines & all that... in case you forgot, I'M LAZY!!! ;D ;D
I probably should just bring the bus up to you & let you do it but that would cost money & then I would have to WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It may look a little silly, but then I have been told I look a little silly... I'll probably take the cover off my existing unit & just set it up there to see HOW silly it looks.

When I have used the roof tops on the road, the front unit provides lots of cool air washing down from above, with the rear facing dampers closed.
MC8 with the later model bump in the roof.
Perhaps adding a strategically placed box fan to move lots of air past obstructions, without the noise of one of those little DC jobs?
