Post by: skipn on February 09, 2008, 02:56:35 PM

It's official Sold the place and signed the papers Friday.
Have a buy/sell close Feb 28.
So will be moving.

Pic of the place we are buying.

Big enough shop for me; indoor arena for Maria, kids and grand kids, equine therapy etc.

Every once and a while the blessings are more than dreamed.

Thanks guys!

We really did consider finishing the bus and retiring.
Just to young and I am not ready to part with the ponies.
Even feeding tonight at 12F it just felt right. (cold but right)

  Don Fairchild,
Labor day I have state Omoksee (pattern racing) but after that my schedule
is open......Keep in touch and we'll do a get together.

Don't forget y'all there is still Aug. rally (meeting {hang out}) next to Yellowstone.

   Still working on that.

I know what you mean.  After having horses for about 20 years, I still miss watching them in the pasture and especially feeding them every moring and evening. Unfortuanately, extended trips and horses do not mix. It was a great part of our life and we have many fond memories of rodeos and working cattle.  We look at life as "chapters of a book". We finished that chapter and the next chapter is retirement and traveling. Jack

Hello Skip & Family
Congrats on the new place .  We sold our farm (32 years there)  in 01 and moved to Florida to start a new chapter..   Just as Jack said life is like a book; each new chapter brings something new and different.  Hope this chapter for you and yours brings lots of joy.
        Happy bussin       Mike.

Jack and Mike,

I agree but it is sad that when we sell the farm it is probably the only time we can look at
retirement. It is a tuff decision for each of us.

As far as the ponies I am still being whooped by 60 and 70 yr olds. These old boys always
come to ride hard and we have a lot of fun.

Attached picture is what I do :)
This was with my youngest daughter.

Looks as though she's grown up to the stage where she understands the importance of letting you win from time to time! (to keep yer spirts up! LOL!)
