Greetings....
Just bought an 82 mc9 to convert. I plan to purchase a manual but in the mean time can someone enlighten me as to what the green "heat" dummy light (bottom left hand corner) is for? Mine flashes off and on.
Thanks.
Hi Chazwood, I have a 82 mc9 as well. I'm not sure what light you are talking about. There is a green light in the lower left part of the indicator light panel that comes on each time you hit the brake pedal. I also have a manual . If you pay the shipping you can have it. E-mail me at marcschlabach@yahoo.com Marc

Thanks for your kind offer. I'll take it!!! ;D
My brake light flashes on when I hit the break also but this light is immediately to the left of that light in the bottom corner of the panel.
Thanks.
The heat indicator is just telling you that the heat relay is on and activating the fluid control valve. If you turn up the rheostat to warmer, it should stay on longer, and if you turn it down to cooler, it should be off more and only flash periodically.

And I thought I was melting my engine block :)
The rheostat being the bakelite knob that controls the temp for the cabin heat ...correct?
Hi chazwood, glad to have you aboard, this is the best bus board on the net, and there is so much knowledge on this board, and the guy's really love to help each other. One thing that will help them, is if you can go to your profile and put in your city, and state you are in, because you might get lucky to find a busnut close to you who could come over and give you some help and pointers about your bus.
