I just bought an Onan Marquis 7000 generator. Apparently the motor works fine but it is not putting out any AC.
It was hooked up to a remote which is missing so I need a manual that has electric schematics so I can start the thing and try and figure out what the problem is.
Anyone know where there are free manuals for download? Any other help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Fred Mc.
I downloaded manuals for an older Onan several years ago by googling ONAN MANUAL. When I sold that generator, the manual went with it and do not remember where I got the manual. Jack
I have seen Onan manuals on eBay at times.

Fred, first check to make sure the output circuit breaker is closed. Most of these failures are due to a bad voltage regulator. Onan wants way too much for them so I recommend Flightsystems.com for a quality replacement. I helped them design and prototype their Onan replacement regulators so I know from whence I speak.
Good Luck.

This may not be the fix for your problem, but I had a no output condition with my 7000 this past summer. It was intermittent, and what I found was a wire had backed out of the multi-pin connector in the circuit breaker box. I spread the retaining clip on the barrel connector for that wire, pushed it back into the main connector, and have not had a problem since. Hope your problem is as simple!
