Bob, did you ever find a muffler for your 5A?  Details?  i am going to be needing one for mine soon so i am interested in how you made out on your search for one.

In all their years together even Jackie hasn't figured out how to "muffle" Bob.   ;D ;D ;)

The nice people at MCI finally found that the MC5A muffler IS different from the 'C' and located one which they would graciously part with for $1000.00. Needless to say I was equally gracious when I thanked them and said, "No Thank you."

We're leaving South Florida this morning for home and I will put the parts numbers I've gathered from Walker Heavy Duty together and order a replacement from Rock Auto. I will need to do some mods in order to get as close to original as possible and use the fishtail exhaust pipe but will document all the installation for the archives.

I did find the Santos Mahogany flooring I was looking for at Lumber Liquidators here in Fort Lauderdale and it is safely packed in the bay.

Does anyone know where I can get a couple of weeks supply of energy to finish all this work?

Bob

Cat,

After careful research and observation, I can tell you that the energy we speak of, disappears the second they realize that
it is for something that they have NO interest in.    ;D

Plus it will be good for Bob to do something on his back, besides sleep.... ;)

I can believe that Cliff , both comments.  I wish I had the energy that kids have at the end of their day.  Just that much would be a big help.  Maybe you could just let Patrick help Bob with the work.

Please friends, let me make this very clear:  Home, at the moment, is Bushnell, FL and it will stay that way until around the first of May.  Then home will be Franklin, NC until the first of October.

We're pretty much like hermit crabs in that we carry our home on our back and wherever we stop...that's it!

Bill, we'll be here for the duration of the winter.
