I was just looking through the eBay listings for buses and ran into this one. 220191613600
Now, it is a year older than my bus, and I always considered my bus decorated in "Early American Sanitary Landfill", but I didn't realize it was worth so much.
I was going to put my bus up for sale for about 1/3 of that price as a shell, but maybe I should reconsider and ask 25 or 30K for it instead as a converted coach!
Dalls just paint yours up in Harley colors and it will tripple in value...thats what Harley does on thier bikes and clothing lines...LOL
In the listing they say "or best offer". I think they are going to be somewhat dissapointed.
Harley's name and colors won't do .... Dallas' name will do even better than Harley! LOL
Sojourn for Christ, Jerry
I almost thought you were going to point out my bus. I didnt think I was that far off on pricing. WHEW!!!
;D
Dallas,
I don't think it's this guy that is nuts, now if someone pays what he's asking they are nuts! Remember ask high so you can negotiate down to your actual price! LOL!
;D BK ;D
I've seen better paint from Earl Schieb! They painted right over the fog lights! I wish there were more pictures for comic relief!
What a great labor-saving idea! Why bother to remove luggage racks when you can simply cover them with padded quilting!
Linda, just what I want, an ugly green padded cell. LOL
Oh I do not know about all of that stuff. Looks like to me a fairly intact, possibly running example of a very early Gimmie. That alone has to give it some sort of collector value to someone. Plus it looks like, at least from the excellent pictures, that someone has gone to a great deal of time and effort and money converting the interior. The paint job is also very distinct and very cool.
You could buy it and just enjoy it as is, or do a somewhat lengthly but very enjoyable redo of the entire coach. Can you imagine how cool it would sound with a 300hp/900torque 671TI? That plus the fact that it would probably haul @$# toos. Perhaps the asking price is not soosss firm as to maybe come down a little. Now....let's install a Jake.....power steering...He he he. :) :) :)
It's probably worth about $1,450.00 as it sits on todays market.
It would not be a candidate for restoration generally. I have sent much newer
and nicer old buses to the grinder and had to pay to get rid of them.
So much for a grand scheme.... ;D ;D ;D
