Title: Cap fastening adhesive question

I am getting ready to put a new rear fiberglass cap on my Prevost and I would like to know want is the best adhesive sealant to use under the edges as I am putting in the new rivets? ;D

I used 3/4 x 1/8 butyl rubber tape..........Sticks like chit to a blanket....make sure you land the cap in the EXACT place first time !!!
                                      PS. I should Add that the tape was under the RIVET line

scanzel: Are you putting it under the edge of the roof and wall skin or on top?

Butyl rubber caulk. Messy, but does a great job. Clean up with plastic shopping bags and lots of mineral spirits.
