Title: 2008 Las Vegas CES Show
Post by: Nick Badame Refrig/ACC on January 08, 2008, 06:31:33 AM
There are some very cool new electronics comming out this year..

I have been trying to find some links on the Consumer Electronics Show going on this week and I found this By Pioneer

This might be the answer for my front tv area in the bus
Nick-

Extreme Contrast: By showcasing the industry's first flat panel display that achieves an absolute black, Pioneer is challenging the contrast ratio debate.  Pioneer successfully created a television that eliminates all measurable light emitted from the screen for a rich picture filled with vibrant penetrating color.

Design Concept: Pioneer has designed a television that is the world's thinnest 50" television. At 9mm thin and a light 41 lbs, it creates a dynamic canvas that could be easily placed to match any décor.

9mm is about 3 1/2"

Wow!  Build a thin box behind your couch put in a couple of electric actuators, and slide that baby over your windows when you want to watch.

I found the show being covered on the G4 channel on my Direct tv.

I'm waiting for them to show us the 150" Plazma tv.

John Z is correct...

The new TV is 9mm or about 5/16" thick!
