Title: Santa in the waiting room
Post by: FloridaCliff on December 24, 2007, 06:58:41 PM
Anyone else waiting for the Kids to finally go to sleep?

Mine are really exited this year and just can't seem to get those eyes to close

Of course Julie and I are fighting the heavy eyelids....energy is wasted on the young!.  :P

Cliff, didn't anyone ever tell you that you are supposed to slip them a Mickey with their dinner?

I think I found part of the problem!

A half empty box of marshmallow bars that someones Mother gave them,

My Mom is getting even with me, and I was such a Angel.......

Cliff, I was just at the lani.gov website and they have been tracking Santa since he took off this morning on a westerly heading.

At the last update, about 20:00 MST He was just finishing up in Labrador and Nova Scotia and will probably continue on his way back into the US soon.

Better get the kids to bed quick if they want to get their goodies tomorrow.

As fast as he's traveling, he should be in the Florida area within the next hour or less.

Good luck, and if the kids would rather stay up tonight than open presents tomorrow, I know where I could take all those extra presents and donate them to starving orphans in China!

Merry Christmas!

Dallas,

Reexplaining how NO presents will be opened until Dad gets up, and the sooner they go to sleep,

the sooner I will go to bed, paid off. 10 minutes and they were out.

Santa is now done and off to sleep.   ;D  :P

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.

Don't fight it m'friend, time passes sooo quickly and they'll soon be gone off to school or wherever and you and Julie will be empty nesters. This is a joyous time in your lives and you've two wonderful children to enjoy on these Holidays.  Too soon you'll be lamenting that 'they're too busy' or 'it's the in-laws turn for the Grandkids for Christmas'.  In a heartbeat they'll be grown up and gone.  Revel in every precious second Dad...they don't come around a second time.

Bob,

I am in 100% agreement, I already have had a few tears in my eye over my 11 year old growing up too fast.

We had a heck of a morning, The little one woke up at 05:00 and the Fun began.

Told me he was amazed that Santa knew exactly what bike to get him, just like we looked at!  ;)

It was all good, I told the Kids this was a kids day, so Dad slaved on the beginning of there tree fort and put up a tire swing and regular swing out in the back pasture.  You would think the cows were laughing at me.  I set the bundle of rope down and drove back to the house to get something, sure enough, one of them buggers planted a cow pie right on my rope.... :'(  I guess they saw that "Eat more Beef" plate on the front of the Jeep?

Oh well, hope you all kept Christmas in YOUR way....
