Oh, I do not know for suress if this gentleman was stupid or not. Seems reasonable to me that if the frozen, tough, mean, nasty lug nut would not come off the ordinary way, the gentleman in question has every right to show that lug nut who's boss. His mistake was employing the shotgun in the wrong fashion. Right weapon, wrong application.

What I would have done in the same situation is to verbally and physically threaten the entire automobile with terrible, painful death/destruction and then to back off for a few minutes and see what the car though about it. The level of terror must be maintained. Then I would have checked to seees if the Marvel Misterey Oil (sp) had in fact worked.

Seems simple to me. But then again, I am kinda simple. What I would NOT HAVE DONE is actually discharge the 12 gauge shotgun directly at the evil frozen lug nut. Now that was kinda stupid. Didn't the gentleman in question understand that there would be a profound rebound effect of the birdshot bouncing off the wheel in question? Oh well. :) :) :) :) :) :)
