"CODY NOW HAS HIS BUTT IN HIS NEW POWERED WHEEL CHAIR"
I have been pacing the floor all day trying to work on my Eagle even with my sore back just to keep active being the intense person I am. I quit working on my bus at 4 PM and just had to try to call Cody again today to get an update. But Cody was not available!! Oh, no the worst scenario went through my mind all day. That's me! Any how I am trying to condense this thread post. I called the person at Bay Home Medical & Rehab at Marquette, Michigan. The person I contact originally was the only contact I wanted to continue to work with and get the skinny as to what has happened as of today. Today was the scheduled delivery day for Cody's nice new motorized wheel chair.
Well as I said above I did not reach Cody and still have not, but Terry King of the Bay Watch Medical supply store informed me that Cody may be practicing his new chair that he personally delivered at Cody's Daughters home. I was so relieved as I sure did think the worst had happened. Any how, I have not yet talked to Cody but am confident that Terry told me all I wanted to know right now and that was that Cody was comfortable in his brand new chair.
This was not a real smooth transaction but the details are not important and I do not want to put you asleep again as usual.
Saturday I mailed Cody a Post Office Money order for $420 which was left from the donations that you great bus nuts sent for this to all l happen over a couple of weeks ago. Cody should have this money tomorrow I believe, but because of the Holiday today, (Happy Veterans Day Today Also) to you all the mail will probably be one day later.
Cody's new chair was completely paid for by Medicare, and now the donations you all sent can be used to make a ramp for Cody to get into his home and one for his bus. This may not cover it all but I know Cody is so grateful for all that you guys have contributed with your generous donations and it will sure take care of most of the material cost at least for the ramps.
Cody does not have any additional insurance except for Medicare, if there was to been a copay we would of used the donations received to assist in making this possible to help Cody out with the additional expense. But, with belief that good things can happen this one sure did. There was no copay needed and now Cody can still continue with your donations to complete what he needs for a more comfortable life.
I have one more request of those wishing to express their appreciation for this all being possible. I would be tickled if the head of the Bay Home Medical store can receive email of appreciation for all Terry King did in such a short time really to work within the bureaucratic system and made it work. This goes to prove that through determination and persistence we can make it happen. I only hope we can continue to do this for other bus nuts needing our help in our family. I can attest that anything is possible if you believe and also get one person on the inside of the system that has a heart and goes above the call the duty of his job to make something like this happen.
I would like to ask that you send email to Terry King's boss with appreciation for what Terry did to help us out and make this possible. Remember, Cody tried to do this last year and was turned down, FLAT. We did it this time. Here is the information to send email of appreciation for what Terry did for Cody and us:

Please send a note of appreciation from us all.
I also want to thank everyone from me for all the donations, support and help in making this happen. John Penzotti, thank you for all the phone call assistance to Charlotte and all over the lot helping me out with your friend and the contact calls to the original planned shippers. Richard, thanks for posting about Cody's need for a chair or scooter in the first place some time ago and for the donation of the original scooter that we were unable to send to Cody. Cody now has a brand new ready to go chair and maintenance program from Medicare to maintain it. Dallas and BK, thanks for offering to repair the original donated scooter originally. If I have forgotten anyone forgive me, I am still quite ecstatic about this being completed and want to make a post of this great deed being completed because of you all.
So now we can wait to hear from Cody himself hopefully tonight when he comes home.
Gary

Gary, I've been busting my a$$ all day getting ready for our departure tomorrow morning and when I turned on the computer this was like a shot in the arm....absolutely the best news I could have read, for sure.
I've never had the pleasure of meeting Cody and his family personally, but it doesn't matter....he's a BusNut...that's all that matters. Kudo's to all who were involved.
Great news on a great Veterans' Day! And might I add my personal thanks you all of you who served and are serving.
NCbob
This shows the true value of friendship, even among people who have never met each other.
Thank YOU, Gary, for putting it all together.
Oh, and now Cody can go back to chasing Libby around the lot. Maybe this time he can catch her once in a while!
Dallas
Nice job Gary..Im sure its appreciated !
Great News Gary,

Cody, have a great ride!
Paul and Becky
I'd like to thank everyone for all they did to make this possible for me. I'm at my daughters house learning how to use the chair, it's great. Tomorrow I'll be home and mobile. This will change not only my life but also my wifes, today she went into town with my daughter to get groceries, this was the first time she had been more than 20 ft from me in three years, afain I want to thank everyone. cody
We hope it gives you many happy years of service, Cody.
Somehow in my chatter I seemed to overlook, by not mentioning, the good works of our resident Leprechaun,
Gary La Bombard. No matter what is going on, no matter where, or for whom...our Gary always seems to find the time and the drive to be involved...usually up to his neck.
Gary, again..Thank You for all your efforts in this drive. What a guy...and he don't sing too bad either!
