Title: OT- New addition to the Comany/Family! By the way any one need anything hauled ?
Post by: Busted Knuckle on November 09, 2007, 10:32:54 PM
Hey ya'll! I just thought I'd drop a line to say HI, since I've been absenet from the board awhile! And I thought I'd show off what Dal las & Dad bought for the company as a "new" shop truck! (Dallas did the bidding for us as Dad & I were both on the rd! Dad will do the paying! LOL!) It's Ebay Item # 120179313324
Of course if we have any members who might be near there I'd welcome someone to look it over for us and see if it is as nice as it shows & is supposed to be! The seller is new to ebay so I can't judge him by his feedback since he has none! I did talk to him on the phone several hrs b4 we bid, and he sounds like a decent person to deal with. But we all know that a voice 2400 miles away on the phone could be deceptive too! Anyway that's our new toy, and I can't wait for Mom & Dad or I to go get and bring it home! Now to find some bus parts to haul in/with it! LOL!
;D  BK  ;D

PS Anyone need anything hauled from CA to Anywhere between there and TN or somewhere near TN?

Congratulations BK & Dallas!

Real cool looking truck, although I'd say at that price you stole it, so drive it like the cops are on your tail!!  ;D

Yeah & now I got a cool ride to come pick them up in! LOL! Will they fit in the bed or should I go ahead and paint the trailer to match the trk? After all my Saleen matches and the drag car project is jammed out to match win done (if ever! LOL!) ;D  BK  ;D

Yeah sure he can install sonar on his bus, or van or whatever he wants! But he'll have to fight Mom & Dad as much as me over the trk, as Dad is the one who asked Dallas to bid & told him how much we'd go!(I don't even know that but, since we won I don't care either! LOL!)

BK,

Nice truck, Let's hope the guy who lowered it didn't use the "mexican" low rider kit. I saw where it said "air compressor & rear airbags", That would make me a bit nervous. I wonder if it has enough ground clearance for these Tennessee roads?..... 8) ::)

The best part is with the 7.5 ( 460cu in) you will not have to worry about getting better mileage than the bus gets. 4.5 to 8.5, How come you didn't look for a diesel???

It has a professionally installed "manufactured kit" with the on board compressor for adjusting the bags to your load or ride prefences. And I had been looking for a diesel and dad asked "have you seen how fuel is sky rocketing are you sure you want a diesel?" Also win you steal it, ya can't be choosy! LOL!

Hello again folks, and thanks for the compliments on the "new SHOP TRUCK" (did ya get that bubbagal & squirrelbait {Mom} ?). Also please excuse my brainfart too! LOL! One of the reasons I posted it was to see if any of our members might need any large bus parts (or any thing for that matter) picked up and delivered along the way! SO if ya need something hauled that is BIG or Heavy creating a Huge shipping price let us know. I'm sure we can work something out, that will benefit both of us! ;D  BK  ;D

RE: doug thorlly headers in flowmaster mufflers

I'd be taking ear plugs as that low frequency drone will get old on the hiway real quick. It isn't too bad around town tho . . .

Those 460's are thirsty, but from what I've heard & experienced, more reliable than those powerstrokes.

Kyle, read the answer to Darren's question ! LOL! I won't be driving it that far LOL! But no seriously I offered but M & D ain't been to CA much (or out West that much either for that matter, and they want to do it. So I said go ahead.) Besides it's got an 800 watt system with subs under the back seat & a 10 disc change and mom's already planning to take 10 discs! LOL! (wait a minute I know what she listens too! I'D BETTER PACK DAD SOME EAR PLUGS! LOL! It wouldn't bother me though if I were to go after it as I've always had LOUD vehicles until we got into buses! I always put straight stacks on all my trucks when I was driving! And straight pipes or pulled the baffles on all my bikes! So the louder the better! Waut a second, what I can't hear ya! You'll have to speak up! LOL! If I was going I'd take 10 good calssic rock mix CDs and roll the windows down and let'r ride!

Yeah I'm thrilled and already looking for a cowl hood for it, or maybe some thing different if I find something cool looking reasonable! Now I just gotta get my trailer re-decked and painted to match when I get the hood painted! LOL! ;D  BK  ;D

Hows that spelled " BK's A$$ Fund LOL The check is in the mail, don't spend it all in one place. Better yet frame it and put it on the wall, and pretend it the first one you ever got so it won't get cashed. Have fun with your new truck BK

IT's HOME! And I love it! It runs great (gotta learn not to flor it for a changing light tho, gas gauge drops 1/4 tank instantly as truck launches forward! LOL!) And rides ..... well like a 1 ton trk! LOL! But the airride in the rear is adjustable with the push of a button on the dash! It's much quiter than I expected as a matter of fact with the windows up it's hard to hear running ! (Unless in the above mentioned kick down mode! Then it roars as the gas gauge drops! LOL!) But hey we are quite pleased with it! I got 33% better gas mileage than the guy we bought it from told us it got! But he pulled a huge boat (700 + HP!) with it, and was from CA! Those folks out there run 90-100 mph to and from the lakes, so it's no surprise to me that we got better MPG driving the speed limits! Nice and comfy in side, and gets thumbs up wherever I take it! And Kumho loves the sliding window so he can stick his head in the back window and rest it on the comfy headrest on the rear seat!(ain't gotta tell him load up twice! LOL!)
