I got my Pro Heat today, 12 volt system, I will try and get it installed by the weekend. It will be plumed into my engine, bus heating system, domestic hot water and WVO system. Today I gathered up fittings and components to hook up a temporary WVO system to see how my DDEC will work with this setup. No sense in spending big money and a bunch of work if the DDEC don't like it. I have the fresh water tank cabinet built and just dumped my black so it can be removed and the new cabinet built for it. Will be updating with pictures later. I promise.
I will be looking forward to the pictures and installation of your Pro Heat. I also bought one, haven't installed it yet.
Good Luck with your progress.
Paul
As long a the veggie oil is near engine temp, I don't see where the DDEC system would have any problems.
Other than the injectors, a DDEC doesn't handle the fuel. The injectors are electronically controlled, but the flow characteristics aren't that much different from an MUI.
DDEC 1 units have cool fuel flowing thru the EDU for coolant. But DDEC II and up don't have EDUs. You have a DDEC II or III?
As you already know, start and shut down on diesel. That's what I'd screw up...shut that sucker off in cool weather...??? :o What then? Break out a propane torch?
Let's hear that thing run on the "Colonel!" ;) JR
DDEC II at least but could be III but I don't think so.
Pictures, you need pictures Charlie?? hehe
Gary
Ron - almost certain your a DDECII

Ron,
I have a new black tank I might be able to bring if it will fit, 26"x54"x8"
Let me know
Ed, I might be able to make it work as my gray tank above my black tank. How much you want for it?
