I have a Suburban 6 gal, SW6DE electronic ignition, LP/Electric water heater. When useing hot water the tank operates fine. If the tank sets unused, say overnite, it runs out of hot water quickly. it will then ignite and heat the water like it is suppose to do. This is all on LP. I only use the electric when I am somewhere I am not paying for the electric, like at Jacks house ;D
So whats your problem??>>>Dan
The heater does not maintaine water tempature?
Sounds like (if your talking overnite as being on shore power/electric) your element is burned out or wire is burned through or switch has malfunctioned - HTH
At best it sounds like the temp bulb has too much 'swing', it needs COLD water to trip, I wonder if the temp sensor could be replaced.>>>Dan
Sorry to butt in,
Dan, do you know Bob Sather down there?

Sound like your heater's automatic low limit switch or turn-on setting is too low or sticky.....need a bigger hammer or replace thermostat control valve.
Wish you well!
