Title: Switch for Power Vent
Post by: captain ron on October 28, 2007, 11:43:00 AM
I just installed a power vent in my waste tank vent tube. I would like to get a switch that either works automatically when I flush or you push a button and it stays on for 30 seconds or so then shuts itself off. Any such animal?

Either fixed or adjustable time delay relays are available from most any electronic/electrical supply house.

How about just wiring it to the bathroom light?

Hi Ron,

Either do as Len has said, or hook up a micro switch to your flush lever.

They are very common in parts houses.

I think I'll use a dial type switch like they have for heat lamps in the bathroom. The switch to the light would not be a good idea as I may want the light on for a while but don't want to hear the fan or run down my batteries.
