Sorry I haven't had a chance to post about our Roundup, but we had quite a time at work after a big lightening strike last Sunday evening blitzed enough stuff inside our computers to make my life an absolute chore!
We had a ball at the roundup, with 15 units in attendance and only one last minute cancellation. We had a few stick and staples (one led by an ambulance!), GMC's, an Eagle, a Flex, and quite a few MCI's. By Saturday evening, everyone had visited together so much that we felt like one big family!
Mike Hill took a ton of pictures, and did a much better job with them than I did with mine, so here is a link where he's started uploading them: http://community.webshots.com/user/CTNMcknight. . .ignore the title of "2006 Jersey roundup", as he made a typo and won't be able to edit it till he returns home. He has graciously offered to make CD's of the pictures for anyone who does not have fast internet access, which is just wonderful of him!
Ethan Tuttle brought his projector and turned the back of our bus (with the new white paint job), into a giant TV screen! We did potlucks nightly, and Sunday morning, Chris Cooper was generous enough to roast and grind fresh coffee beans for us and provided us the freshest brewed coffee ever! Everyone pitched in and did whatever was needed, so we all had plenty of time to hang out and have a great time. Speaking of hanging out. . . we had quite a few youngsters again this year, and I tell you what, you've never seen such a great group of kids.
Well, if you can't tell by now, we really enjoyed the rally and we've already reserved with the park for the same weekend next year. The big tray of "Thank You" brownies they left in the meeting building for all of us didn't hurt anything, ha ha.
Talk to you guys soon, Christy Hicks
Hi Christy,
Sorry to hear about the lightening problem, bummer huh?
Glad to hear that your Roundup was a success. Would love to be able to come to it next year, we'll see how it all works out.
At least you had morning coffee! ::) ::) Inside joke.
Happy Trails,
