Hey guys,
The Push-Pull Control Valve, the air value for setting the parking brakes. Can I rebuild it, or just buy a new one. If new one, where's the best place to buy it?
As always, thanks for the help,
Bill

In Gulfport, Ms.
Bill,
Any of the big truck parts places will have them.
I have also seen a lot of them on ebay, but need to find out what a new one costs to see if really a bargain
Cliff
the price differential between a new brake valve and the rebuild kit is not really worth the labour involved, and you still risk that the insides of your original might have issues beyond a rebuild.
Buy new from your local big truck parts place.
happy coaching!

Yup, even I replaced mine. First exposure dealing with the air system. Boy was I intimidated. But labeled each of the lines to prevent idiocy. (or at least to reduce it:)) And it actually worked!
Plus the truck place will give you a pretty significant cost reduction when you return your original body.
Thanks guys, have it on order from a local big truck parts house. Will have it Tuesday.

Just for future reference, what are the symptoms that indicate a faulty valve.
Let me see, if this will fix what I think the problem is first. Then I will tell all, otherwise, I'm on a wild goose chance.

Hi Bill,
Is it the same leak that you had while you were here?
Good Luck,
Paul
Paul,
Yes, it is,,, took it to a shop in Panama City, Florida, the mechanic was sure that it was feeding back through the switch. I don't seem to have the same problems I thought I had driving from Phoenix to here. Still hear the air in the front, like we heard.
Looks like I will sell the bus Monday.
Bill
Bill,
Good Luck on the potential sale.
Keep in touch, we don't want to lose a BusNut Friend!

Replaced the push-pull air value and it seems to have fixed the leaking air problem.
Paul, I do not have the leak that we sprayed while at your place.
