Title: Wiper Parts, infor
Post by: BC Bus on October 17, 2007, 07:53:20 AM
On my 1972 GMC 4108
I have the following challenge;
One of my wipers is slipping on the old air motor shaft. The little splines on the  shaft are pretty well
stripped The shaft that the wiper blade clamps to looks
like it might be removable and replacable, by removing a small snap ring
Anyone know for sure? If it is replacable, who has 'em?

:(

we just cured that problem on a friends schoolie, we drilled the shaft arm and put in a set screw, if it's the same problem he had, his was the shaft moved appropriately, just didn't grab the arm well enough to move it right.

I had the same problem when I had my 4108. I drilled it and put a small bolt through it. It worked fine after that.
