A while back scottie posted "(i bet) this question has never been asked ???"
In the discusions that followed the 3 lane concept was offered as a guage to go by
on turning.
I just had a meeting with the developer that is developing all around me and there
is the desire for me to give up my current road and use thiers. Long and short the
road he was proposing wouldn't be bus friendly at all. When the developer found that
out he now has to go back to the design board and figure it out.
Thanks you don't always know how others questions and subsequant answers
can help a person out.
Goes to show there are no DUMB questions.

Skip, your absolutely right, the only dumb thing to do is not to ask. I've posted some dumb questions and in the process of reading the responses, I've learned things that arn't related to the question but still valuable information, every day should be a learning day, expiring minds need to know lol.
That's a good reason that everyone should ask whatever question they are pondering. Just because it might seem dumb to you, it might be that there is someone out there that is hesitating to ask the same or similar question. So, everyone, ask those questions and know that you are helping yourself as well as someone else. Cat

Very good point Doug!
;D BK ;D
Thats an excellent point, you might want to let the developer know that fire equipment needs room to be able to manuver, they generally come in large packages, if they can easily manuver, then your bus should too. You may not be able to overcome the problem by using your bus as a point in question but the fire equipment would have to be taken into concideration.
i was at a zoning meeting where the school board got involved also. Buses picking up kids need room on a cul de sac.
All very good points.
When we moved here (85) I was leasing the farm ground around me. When it was sold to the developer (2005)
I kind of figured my days were numbered. Since then the developer has been not the most forthright
(in my opinion). It feels like he'll make his money and disappear. 3800 units on one section of ground leaves
all sort of access issues. His plans calls for 4 or 5 box stores right next to my property. Usually that wouldn't
bother me but the taxes will skyrocket. Currently 6 acres of business property is going for around 1 mill.
Absolutely crazy.
With the way things are going I'll be lucky to take care of my own interest and family let alone the quality for those
who will be habitating the area.
It was what is call progress (i Guess)
Me building a big rig park is definately out.

If my 6 acres was worth $1 mil, I'd let someone else own it & I'd purchase a parcel better suited for my needs. May even have enough to construct a nice bus barn. ;)

Interest off 1mil would keep enough diesel in the tank to NOT require a bus barn. (maybe not a true statement next week, if fuel keeps going up)
