Ok guys tonight I welded up some Polyethylene.
I know its going to take longer to write this than it did to do the welding.
This will be my black tank.
One of the pictures is all three, black, gray and fresh, in there most likely position.
I still have some welding to do on the fresh and gray.
The pictures are self explanatory,
After welding I check the welds with a Spark tester.
I tried to show 3 different tips, on the welder.

Good Looking tanks and welding there Ed.
Maybe someday I can make my own, after all the other chores are done.
How did you do those baffles? They look factory.

Very good post Ednj!
We need to see more of these illustrated posts to communicate more directly to the points of Hows, What, Where and When.
Picture speak to our eyes faster than words to hear.
However I am sure it may load up excess bytes on MAK server?
Thank you Ednj!

Oh Ednj!
I forgot ask in previous post about "spark-tester" which is a great way to check for micro-size holes in weld-joints & glue-joints.
What the full name of this De Detrich...........?
Have found one but difference brand....http://www.pcwi.com.au/Holiday-Porosity-Detectors.asp
Thank you.

Sojourn for Christ. Jerry,
I have the De Dietrich model 6000E Spark tester.
Only because I have allot of dealings with De Dietrich in Corpus Christy Texas.
At my place of employment we use a lot of Glass Lined tanks, and I don't think there is any other way to check the glass.
They gave me a great deal on the one I have.
That web site you posted looks really good.
I think anyone of them will work just fine, but keep in mind that for a one time use it's not worth it.
If you would like to use mine, Maybe we could work something out?

PS the baffles were melted?
Thank you...Ednj!

Could you describe the test process and results when using the porosity (spark) tester?
Today @ work I was using some new welding equipment. After I was done for the day I thought I would look up the make and model to share with you guys.
This thing has a combination tip ( tack and speed).
Anyway I found this really good video on their web site and you must see it, probably the best I've seen.
When you go to this web site click on videos and chose your connection, here's the address= http://www.wegenerwelding.com/usa/flash/index.html
That looks great, Ed. I think I need you to give me a lesson. How do tank costs compare to ready made?
