Got a quick question about a slow bus or two! One 4905 can i take the pig iron out of the last bay where the tag was? Second ,same bus can i get some ideas on steering columns. Second bus 4106 can't get the bloomin turn signals to fire up! Looks like some highly qualified mods. were performed and my books are a little vague. Wondering if a certain flasher runs all i.e., turns and emerg. flashers or if it takes two. Thanks in advance! Jim Besett
Anytime you can't get either direction to come on, you should prove that you don't have all bad bulbs. I have seen that problem more than once.
Our coach uses two flashers. When the four-ways are on, one flasher runs the fronts and the other runs the rears. It's not like any cars that I have seen.
For what it's worth.

Jim unless it has been changed the 4905 has only one flasher,it is to the right side of the front heater if you open the acess door on the right front you should see it on the side of the heater box, just changed mine after it went out mike
Thanks guys! any ideas on the frame work on the 4905 last bay? Just wondering if it can come out since the tag is gone.
yes it can come out
On the turn signals check the bulbs, the grounds and fixture itself. When I bought my bus only one signal was working, one had a bad ground, one a bad bulb and the other a bad fixture. Go figure!!

Are you talking of unbolting parts or removing welded structure? In any rate, you really need to have someone who is qualified look at it & advise you concerning what is & isn't removeable.
Arm chair advice can contain many misunderstandings.
Better to be safe, than sorry.
to expand.
yes it can come out but you must put in a floor in that area, and if there is no blkhead due to the bogie you must put that in too.
there are few 4903/4905's that still have the bogie. most were removed while still in revenue service
Thanks ya'll, it does have both bulkhead and floor after the boggie was removed. Thought it would sure open the back bay for more a/c room!
Thanks, Jim
