I am not a bus person yet, but rather I am an RVer who hopes to convert a bus to a motorhome. I have been searching around on the internet for a few months now and have seen (online) many buses and prices. One problem is that I have no experience with buses (driving or repairing).
I am very industrious and have experience with rebuilding engines, body work, general mechanical, plumbing, electrical, electronics, home rennovations, etc.
So what I am hoping to find is someone in the Central Pennsylvania area who I can assist with bus maintenance in exchange for experience working with buses. If nothing else, having someone to talk to regarding where there good local mechanics, what is involved in getting a title changed to RV, what to look for when buying a bus, etc. would be great.
If you are in the Central Pennsylvania area, please contact me. I am excited and want to learn!
Hi eznuff,
Welcome!
It sounds to me you have what it takes to be involved with a conversion! We have lots of members in PA along with myself
in N.J. Busses, believe it or not, are much easier to work on then your car or truck. Also, lots of great bus garages around
your area.

Nick-
Welcome to the board, and I agree with Nick! Also Doug aka "Tekebird" is a very knowledgable busnut from somewhere in PA (around Hershey I think!), and there are many others! Good luck and don't be afraid to ask! ;D BK ;D
we have already communicated through the other board,
Hopefully he and John Roan can hook up as they live in the same town
Sorry I was just try'n to be of assistance! I'll stay out of it from now on!
no worries
Why don't you volunteer your time at the Bus Musuem in Hershey. If I lived a little closer, I sure would. I live in Wilkes-Barre in Northeastern PA. I don't have another bus yet either, but I hope to soon.

brojcol, you are closer to Hershey than me, but it is a great idea. I'll be in Hershey next week and will probably stop by.
