Title: MC-9 Radiator shroud
Post by: cpschevy on September 22, 2007, 08:45:42 PM
Hi  everybody,    I just got a crazy idea today and wondered if anyone has done it yet?  I would like to build a shroud from my radiator  to the squirrel cage fan housing on my mc-9. My idea is that if i can direct more of the air directly through the radiator it will cool better like a car or truck does! The way i see it the factory setup is very inefficent because there is to much room for the air to leak and therefore not get the full air through the radiator. Anyways if anybody has any thoughts on this please let me know.
                                                                                                   Thanks Chris

Trouble is each side of the fan sucks from both inboard and outboard ends, so any shroud is going to end up not a lot different from having a big space like there is already.

Time and effort may be better used to make sure of the sealing around the outside of the radiators and the seal around the door.

Hi Chris,

I would have to agree with Tony .

Also, if you put a rag up to either intake grill of the rads, and your engine is at idol, the rag should stay there.

If not, your rads may be clogged with dabree. I just installed new rads and you wouldn't believe the difference..

Good Luck
