Title: flxible hi level
Post by: pjtaxi on September 20, 2007, 03:40:02 PM
We have a 1960 flxible hi-level in long term conversion.  I have licensed each year to keep current, this year cannot buy tabs until I show vehicle weight.  Can't drive to take it to get weight slip.  All the spec. sheets I find have everything but weight.  I know it would be that accurate because has been gutted and conversion has started, but need something.  Has any one got idea for weight??  Thanks for any responce

Where are ya at?
I have a portable scale, but you have to weigh one wheel at a time.

Or you could call the DOT highway man & see if there is someone near you with the portable scales that can come to you to weigh it for you.

If you just want a guess, 26,000 # will be close.

We had a guy at our bus roundup last week that had a '55 Flxible, he seemed pretty knowlegeable about the coaches in general. Send me a personal email with your phone number or contact address and I will pass that along to him.

Good Luck and Happy Trails,

Paul
