Title: LAKE PPWELL TRIP
Post by: edvanland on September 17, 2007, 10:48:59 AM
Sept 10th left for a week at Lake Powell with friends and family.  My bus, MCI 7, ran great.  Was towing a 18 foot flat bed trailer with Jeep and fire wood.  Bus pulled the 6% grade from Camp Verde to Flagstaff with no heating problems.  Pulled onto the beach at Lake Powell and in behind the rest of the group and got stuck 6 feet from where I wanted to be.  Next morning pulled the bus forward with my jeep and sat there for 5 days.  All systems worked prefect. Saturday 15th came and it was time to head home, drat no more sitting under the awning with a cool one and watching the lake. On the way home there is a long climb, 15 miles, heading back to Flagstaff, well not paying real close attention and then I noticed the temp was 205, backed out of it and found a wide spot to pull over, O well time to walk the dogs and strech my legs.  Ten minutes later the bus was at 175 so headed out again, this time paying attention.  No more problems, except having to get home and get back to that dirty word, WORK.  When the house sells will then be full timing.
