Title: RV park on west / Nwest side of Phoenix
Post by: JimC on September 12, 2007, 06:25:38 PM
My wife and I will be heading to Phoenix this January for a month or so. As of now I am having trouble finding a spot to stay, I am running into the 10 year old rule with the bus. Before you start with the DON'T TELL THEM ITS A BUS issue, I am not going to go that route.

I want to make reservations now, and when I do I send them a picture of the bus because it looks very good. The last thing I want is to get there and have them tell me that I am not good enough or new enough for their park. If that were to happen I would be scrambling around looking for a place to stay during the peak tourist season and probably end up in an undesirable area.

We have family on the west and north west side of Phoenix so that would be best, (Surprise, Sun City, Glendale) The north end along Hwy 17 has a lot of RV parks, but I would rather stay farther west just for convenience sake.

If anyone knows of a place please let me know (private message is fine) The going rate for the fancy parks is about $900 for the month and that is OK (less is better) if it's really nice with good facilities. I would give serious thought to one of the little mom and pop trailer home parks with an extra slab if I could find one.
