Very interesting, nice family, BUT, made me glad I have only 2. :P

I used to hear people at work talking about how funny Bill Cosby was in his comedy
routines.
My response was simple: Until you have at least six kids, you can't possibly
understand how funny he *really* is. :-)
We have nine, ages 40 to 26. Our youngest two we home schooled for three
years, and they have been best friends ever since. Our youngest daughter (#9)
is working on her doctorate in audiology. Our youngest son speaks four languages:
English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin. He is currently in Shanghai, attending a
university there for a semester (until Christmas). He is a senior at Colorado State
University, an inducted member of a business honor society, and a very good kid
(no brag -- just fact). You'll enjoy his blog at http://cabbageconfessions.blogspot.com
I've been absent. Not doing anything much with buses. Working on the house
and other stuff. I edited a book a few months back ("31 Steps to Your Millions
in Antiques and Collectibles" by Daryle S. Lambert) that is getting good response.
It's being marketed at www.31corp.com and also available on Amazon and Ebay.
I'll be starting another book soon with the same author on how to build family
relationships by parents and kids getting involved in collectibles.
I'm also writing a book of my own on personal and family finance, and how to
defend yourself against the parasites out there looking to bilk and coax you
out of your money.
We haven't gone touring with nine kids. Couldn't afford it. Went to a few
family reunions. The last one took four cars. Nine kids, 12 grandkids, 5 kids
not even married yet, but mom's thinking maybe two weddings this year (she
hopes).
But then there's my half-sister. Celebrated her 70th anniversary last year.
Nine kids, 45 grandkids, 135 or so great-grandkids, and about 40 great-great
grandkids. I am certain she wasn't thinking in those terms when she said,
"I do." :-) They have a site in the mountains SE of Flagstaff where they get
together for annual family reunions.
I'm glad we didn't quit at two or seven. The last two were like icing on the
cake after all the others. But all are good kids and doing well. All live within
60 miles, except for Shanghai...
If I had to choose between kids and the bus, I'll take the kids any day. :-)
There were 26 of us at our oldest son's house last Christmas Eve (two kids
had dates with them).
