Well, folks, it is now official. The rally has already begun. Gary and Linda arrived this afternoon so now we can get down to having a good time. Dallas, Bryce and Gary are already up at Bryce's house getting the BS going. Be prepared to have your picture taken when you arrive and smile pretty. Gary does such a great job of documenting these events.
Franks new bus is down by the road at the end of the drive so you will know where to turn in. Everyone, be safe on your trip!

Ahhh well not exactly Cat! It's got a for sale sign in it! I figured since it was mad at him and there were gonna be people driv'n up and down the road wondering what all these buses are doing here! Might as well as see if anyone would be interested in adopting it, since it's owner won't support it! ;D BK ;D
The last time Bryce put a bus down by the road as a marker for a rally he ended up taking the bus on a charter Friday afternoon. :)

Yeah Brian, but I qasn't try'n to sell that one!
Wo is Frank and why do ya'll make him park down the road??
CS...
Frank, aka Slow Rider, is a valued member of this board, but has orphaned a perfectly good MC8 out in the tooley bushes.
The poor bus tried to drown itself and be rid of it's woes, but we drug it back, cleaned the fish from the bays, (mostly), and offered it an honored place among Setras.
Now it's on the road to recovery and wants to beuseful again!
Poor MC8
Hello Ms Bubbagal,
Wish I was there... :(
Get Gary to sing a couple songs for ya'll! He's a natural entertainer!
Have fun! Hope the weather holds out for your party!
We'll see Gary and Linda in SC in about a month...tell Gary to bring his'n guitar! :D
Cheers, JR 8)
First off, it's not lonely or mad, Cat takes it out and gives it plenty of attention. Second when you are expecting guests you always put the good china out. BK has chosen the best bus to be the first thing everyone sees. I feel honored. And lastly if BK can make us some money, Woo Hoo!
I hope you all have a wonderful time, I truly wish I could be there. Have a cold one for me and remember there should be enough people for the SS polishing class to get the entire bus done. :)
Frank
PS: It loves to swim BK, what can I say....
Frank, as easy at that thing is to drive, it is a good thing there aren't any tags on it yet. I would probably be out joy riding at all hours. You need to name your baby so when she and I go bar hopping I know what to call her.
Wish you guys could be here for the rally...we will really miss you!!
Cat
I sure wish I could have been there for the rally, instead we had to play a gig at a naturist park, imagine my disappointment at playing music for a bunch of naked people when I could have been admiring the fine lines of a well trimmed out bus. Four days at the park and all that time I could have been visiting and comparing new ways to do bodywork and mileage figures. Just got home and now I've got to slowly recover from the high stress life of making a honest living.
Is BK a 'Naturist'
BK a naturist? I really don't know, kind of a scary thought for sure. We had to make the choice of going for the money and enduring the sight of so many naked people dancing to fast songs or enjoying he company of busnuts, I had to go with the wallet. The gig had nothing to do with the rally, was even in a different state lol.
We were happy to arrive here at BK's yesterday but things did not go without incident as I will report in another post and not horn in on this one. You know my post can get lengthy, I can just hear you all now saying - (Yea we know Gary) so I will write one of my own and keep this post nice and short. Yea, right again!!
We are very early birds this time but glad we are so we can rest up from nothing by traveling for 10-12 hrs a day for 3 days straight. Being 62 is taking it's toll but I have those energizer batteries, I think!!
BK has plenty of room for anyone wishing to have a good weekend, we look forward to seeing Uncle Ned and his pretty wife Wilma again and those we have never meet in person, so quit looking for excuses not to attend a rally. We have traveled over 800 miles so far to get here but very, very glad to be here now.
Oh Yea, I am already taking photos before anyone arrives as ususal and hope we will fill up the parking area with new friends. Franks Bus, (Intended to be a Rally marker) is NOW down by the road which was not there when we arrived and we had to turn around in a driveway next door to BK's, we came within 6 inches of tearing off my nice new rooftop AC and you know I would of used a cuss word or two if I did that in this heat. Newbie me did not do a very good job trying to back up my tandem wheel trailer with over 3000 lbs of SPARE engine on it and the neighbor felt sorry for me and offered to let me turn in his yard. Oh boy, I didn't do good, yes I did, I finally got here.
Anyhow come on down, we will be rested up by tomorrow and when you arrive turn at the drive where you see Franks (MCI Casino Tour Bus )parked at. Oh, if you come Friday, the bus may be gone on a trip to the Casino's so try to come early.
Wow, look how short I made this post!!! Well, it is shorter than normal.
Gary
I sure wish that Kathy and I could have made this one but we are up in New York at her folks home and I am in the middle of a major remodel job to make there bathroom handicap useable but I am sure you all will have a great time and we will see all of you soon Mike
Mike, I hate you two can't be here but hope you do know you are welcome to stop by any time you are out traveling. There is plenty of room for buses here at all times. Give Cinnamon a little scratch behind the ears from me! Cat
As of this morning Uncle Ned and his lovely wife Wilma have made it too!
Wish I could have made it up for this one! I'll be back on the rally trail sometime next year.
We were joined late in the afternoon by Jerry and Sharyn Leibler and Don Fairchild and their buses. We are already having fun and getting into the partying mood. Come one, come all and join us!
Tell Don that I am jealous of him cruising around in that fine Country Coach and I look forward to seeing it when he gets home.
Ya'll have a good time.
His coach is certainly something to be a big green-eyed over. He is gonna get it over the pit later today or tomorrow to check out the brakes and other underneath "stuff". Guess this means you aren't gonna make it here.
No, I would have ridden with him if I could have made it but the timing just wasn't right this year. There will be others that I will make for sure...
Don said if you like his bus that much he will let you make some payments for him.
We are having a really nice time here. Had a small cookout tonight and Dallas is gonna be up really early to make us some fresh home cooked doughnuts for breakfast. yum-o
Sure! Rub it in! We all already wish we were there and now you tell us there are fresh doughnuts!
Someone will have to let me know how Dallas brand doughnuts compare to Krispy Kremes. So far I have never found anything that comes close.
And Don... You already know I am broke! haha
Actually, Not doughnuts,
More of a German fried pastry called Fastnacht, a high calorie goody with origins in the Germanic countries.
My grandmother called them, "Fasnetskiachle" or "Nacht Kuchken"
Thet are famous in the Pennsylvania Dutch country and served on the day before Ash Wednesday. Since we weren't Catholic, we got them all year around.
More Worthless trivia.
