JT
We just had a thread about LED lighting it is back on page 3 or 4 now, I will try and post the link to it here.

Also,
The units from NAPA will work well (like the white LED back up lights) but, by the time you buy them retail at $50-60 each plus mount them you will have a LOT of $$ tied up in them. Check ebay for LED lights. Right now they are starting to make a lot of LED bulbs, some that replace the common household type screw in bulb. That may work also, you could just purchase normal 120V fixtures and wire them for 12V.
No matter what you do, don't forget to check back and let us know what worked for you. LED lighting is in it's infancy and the changes are happening very quickly. Besides, busnuts are always looking for a another or a better way to do it!

JT, I priced white LED lights at NAPA and, frankly, they scared the pants off me!  So a bit of research brought me to  http://www.superbrightleds.com/truck_lights.htm.

I ordered the large 4" diameter ST series (with the plastic mounting ring) for under cabinet lights. They're more of a spot light than a flood but offer plenty of light as a fairly reasonable price.

For the shower I bought the M4 series because they're a bit smaller and they have a light diffuser which creates more of a flood type light than a spot.

Happy with their service too....fast shipping!  FWIW.

I have been looking for an inexpensive way to use leds inside as well. The best thing I have found so far is to get the regular rv fixture then go to an auto parts place like Advance Auto and buy their replacement bulbs that fit a standard socket. For 110 volt lights places like Lowes sell them.
