FYI
Received word that the bus the Dixie Echoes travels in was destroyed by fire yesterday. No word on how it started but the whole interior of the bus was destoyed. Click on this link to find out more information www.dixieechoes.com
One person was hurt although not seriously.

That burned out picture looked awful. Glad no serious injuries. Looks like it could have been nasty.
yep that sucks...I see the are soliciting the masses for money.......guess the God will take care of us Insurance plan didn't work out so well.
Can't say enough....get agreed value insurance coverage. Sure you pay more but when something like this happens you either have enough $$ to fix or go buy something else
I did not send the email with those intentions of sending any money, I hope everyone understands that. It was really only to bring attention to the fact that it can happen to anybody. It was just sad for me to read that because of the tie I have with them regarding the fact I own a bus they brought brand new in 1968.
It brought to my attention the need for some protection for myself, wife and of course the coach.
Regards,
Paul
Paul I didn't mean to say that you posted it for that reason but when I went there after looking at the damage photo I scrolled down to see if there were more and saw the please send money plee.
my intention on my last post was just to urge people to get propper or good coverage...if you don't your 20, 40, 50 50+K may have a bad day and you will be SOL ....proper coverage from a good Insurer and you will get your money with little to no hastle and be able to rebuild or buy something else and move on
Hi Paul,
Sorry about the news for your brother.
Find out if they have a paypal account and I'll send something.
Thanks
Nick-
Find out what did that!!!!!!

I have left an email for the son of the founder of Dixie Echoes. Asking him regarding accepting Pay Pal method. I don't know how or when he will reply as I am sure there is a lot on his mind regarding travel needs etc.. I also asked him what they have determined what cause it. I will post anything that I find out so we can all check our "fire starters".

Tekebird,
I believe God will take care of the Dixie Echoes, but a lot of times God will fulfill needs through other people. If the other people don't know about the need then they aren't able to help. Because they are asking for financial assistance doesn't mean they aren't still trusting in God. :)
God bless,
Darrin
This is another tragedy. At least 5 conversions come immediately to mind, that have been damaged or destroyed by fire. It happens way too often.
Please make sure you have adequate insurance. Don't wait until you "finish" your conversion. I suggest having "agreed upon value", so that the insurance companies cannot take advantage of you.

Darren, I was trying to make a point not judge thier faith......
Same as saying Never buy a Church Bus becuase it was on the Pray to God Maintenance plan.
And my Main point was Buy proper insurance......if you look back at this thread that is what I am preaching.
Although there are people who will and do "help out" they likely will not get enough money to rebuild quickly.
I Have my Bus well insurd at agreed value......if this had happened to me I would have a check in hand by now to either buy another one or have mine rebuilt.
Yes it would suck.....but I would not be wanting for transportation
For comparison sake.
