I had a special request to post a picture of how the intercooler is mounted in front of the radiator. There is also another intercooler on the driver's side radiator.
Hot goes in on the bottom and out on the top.

Very nice set-up and install!
Couple of questions popped up in my head,,,,,,,
Looks like the shutters have been removed.....Do you think that will cause engine temp issue in the winter?
If memory serves you also have a webastco so it may not matter.....
Have you estimated or figured out if there is a flow reduction for the radiator?

Hi Skip,
Yes, the shutters had to be removed. There simply was not enough room in there for them and the intercoolers.
Yes, I have a Webasto, but I do still expect some challenges in getting the motor up to full temperature in the winter due to the dumping of cold air down on the motor from the blowers. However, I do need some air flow through the intercoolers at all times. So, I think it is a good compromise for me so I can keep clear access to working on the side of the motor from the passenger access hatch.
I assume there is some reduced cooling capacity due to the intercoolers in front of the radiator. However, testing to date has shown it to still be sufficient. On an 85 degree day doing 70 mph the motor takes over 10 miles to get up to the thermostat and then never goes above thermostat temp. My old 6v92 would run about 185 on an 85 degree day and would run hotter if I was fighting a head wind. I'm almost certain I have more than enough cooling for this new motor!
