Has anybody had any experience with putting a visual side skirt on top (sides) of the bus to shield the stuff on top? I was thinking about 8" to 12" or so that would run the length of the bus on each side. My bus has not been raised. I have seen this on some factory build RV's but not on buses.
Thanks,
Danny
Sean did this, but used his retractable awnings for that. It is a relatively easy install since you can just tie into the cross ribs of the roof. Good Luck, TomC
I put front to back awnings on both sides. This does hide much of the stuff on top. It hides the solar panels completely, and most of the air conditioners. If you are within 30 feet of the coach on level ground, it hides them all.
I have another friend with an H3 that did the same thing (its where I got the idea from), looks cool, very practical.
On the drivers side, there are only 4 plates, two for each awning that hold everything on. Each plate is bolted into two ribs. The passenger side that has the 10 ft awning, the main awning has 3 plates, while the one in the rear has only two plates.
