Hey All,
Since I have been working on the finish of my interior this Summer, I have left the a/c on 90 during the day and kick it down to 70 when I get home.
I found that it cools off very quickly since the humidity is removed during the day on the higher temp anyway.
My question is, how many off you who live in high humidity area's keep the coach climate controlled in the Summer?
I would think the combination of humidity and heat would be hard on an interior.
My thought is to keep the a/c set to 90 and keep all the humidity out.
All thoughts and experiences appreciated.

well you don't want mold but there is a happy medium. it is so dry in Yuma AZ that people that leave their RV's there in the summer put buckets of water in them to keep them from drying out!!! Jerry
Cliff,
Coastal NC isn't much dryer, if any, than anywhere in FL. I have a dehumidifier that'll be bolted down somewhere in my bus. I have one in the house and it sure removes a LOT of moisture. It'll be nice for drying things out after a shower (once the bathroom is finished). The good thing is that it'll work year round, when you might not want an A/C running. I know that it get around 107° inside my bus if it's closed up and sitting in the bus this time of year. Maybe using the A/C during the summer and a dehumidifier when it's not so hot would work best.

Our humidity is in the winter. We leave an oil heater on low all winter to keep the damp out. Our summer is dry, but hot, so we leave the windows open and the roof vent open so things don't bake.

air conditioning is expensive, if its hot and I'm not using the bus, the bus will be hot. It gets 3/4 of a day sun where its parked. not the best, but oh well, something else to fix...
