Gary's Delaware Rally Poem
4 day left to leave for Delaware,
People should come, hopefully from everywhere,
Bring your drinks, some food and what ever you please,
Cause We're gonna sing and party up at Bruce Knee's.
The party is scheduled for only 4 days,
We might even go to the beach on those really hot days,
Come in your Bus, Car, your S&S or RV,
We're also gonna celebrate the wedding of Mike & Kathy.
Come to relax and mix with the Northern Boys,
Plan on busing talk, and looking at our big toys,
Plan on seeing a space shuttle while there in person,
Built by Bill Glenn, a gem worth viewing I can tell you for certain.
A lot of work went into making this rally feasible,
planned by Michael, Roberta and Kathy to be pleasable,
If you attend this rally please remember before you leave,
Give these ladies thanks for the fun if you please.
Plan on singing a little Karaoke,
Maybe singing a little Merle, Okie from Muskogee,
There is a possibility that "Slowrider" may be able to attend,
Come on Frank, have fun & plan on singing with the Women & Men.
If your bus needs a fix or total conversion,
Be sure to see Bruce Knee for an affordable version,
A better busnut cannot be found,
With his success level and popularity, his feet are always on the ground.
Ednj is really excited too,
He's been counting the nights and days and watching the weather for you,
We all look forward to getting together,
Come on Ed, keep us informed of the daily weather.

He now has installed Jakes, now he stops quicker than us,
You have to see Nick's MCI, the color of light sugar maple
It looks like a professional factory made, S&S.
This poem can go on, as you know I can babble,
Even as a kid I won contest playing scrabble,
Come if you can travel and please plan on having a lot fun,
But if you do, don't travel with an unlicensed Gun!!
Leave all your attitudes and problems at home,
Bruce has room for us all to park or just walk and roam,
We hope to see you all next week,
Travel safely with Gods Blessing, busing is not for the meek.

3 Days & Counting to Ole Delaware,
Thank you Nick for singling out my poem as best,
Thinking of your rally will not let my mind rest.
I love writing words that rhyme and jumble,
My name now world known, no longer known as quiet and humble.
Today being Sunday we are on day three,
Anxious to leave, Linda, Ashleigh and Me.
We'll head north, guided by our GPS,
To the Best Northern Bus Rally, in all the US.
We hope this rally to have a huge success,
To us LaBombard's it'll be one of the best.
We keep packing up as if to practice, on these last days,
Not much room you know in our S&S cargo bays.
The cost of fuel for traveling is high these days,
Don't let this stop you from having fun anyways.
Pack up and travel even if traveling seems high,
Meeting at Bruce's rally will be like Heaven in The Sky.
The Rally up north is at Harbeson, Delaware,
It's not going to be formal; no one cares what you wear.
The weather is predicted to be hot next week,
But global warming won't stop us, we'll just all show off our physique.
I imagine Ed from NJ is walking the floor,
Anxious to attend this rally which is nearly next door.
I can visualize him sitting in the driver seat of that big ole bus,
He can't wait for next week to spend it with us.
I hope we can tempt everyone to attend this rally,
I'm not sure of the numbers yet, will have Nick give me a tally.
But if the attendees we have are not high this year,
We'll still have a party, Yea, we'll probably have a beer.
There will be fun for all attending & photos of all taken,
If you miss this rally, visualize the smell in the morning of Great Canadian Bacon.
A lot of planning was spent planning this years rally,
By all involved who did not dilly dally.
Yesterdays Poem mis-spelled Nick's wife Michelle's name,
She knows what I meant, my feelings were the same.
For this I still truly want to apologize,
And again thank you Delaware busnuts, what great wives and guys.
As each day goes by till we head up North,
I'll submit another poem in rhyme and so forth.
Hope I can convince you all to attend,
The Delaware Rally for kids, women and men.
This long poem, I will now close,
I hope the length of it did not make you fall off and dose.
So until tomorrow on this bulletin board,
We'll be counting the days to the Rally, we'll never get bored.

Gary is one great guy, He came to my rescue when I was hurt, And spent several days helping to get the coach that I fell off weather proof. Not many people would do that. Great guy and I can not thank him enough. Fred North Florida Bus Conversion
Gary's a guy who's so handy with prose,
Or a welder, a camera and only God knows
what's next on his plate for all to enjoy.
I think we all owe him one big Atta Boy!
Gary reminds me of the Energizer Bunny...he just keeps on going, and going and is always there in the center of activity working his head off to make sure everyone enjoys whatever function he attends. And not to forget Linda for a second. Her role in his life is one of unquestioned loyalty and support.
Our BusNut community is a whole lot wealthier as a result of the LaBombard's and folks like them. We are proud to call them friends.

2 Days & Counting to Ole Delaware
Here I am as promised, to the Delaware Rally Gang,
We're all excited about leaving, our problems can just hang.
Getting together with others, for even a few days,
Is more important to our soul, than mother nature's sun rays.
The trip up north, will probably be miserable and hellish,
Gona have many hamburgers & hot dogs smothered in relish.
Michelle, Roberta & Kathy are doing their best,
To make us all welcome, please don't keep working without rest.
There's others that have helped, this I know must be true,
Lets hope mother nature cooperates, and keeps the sky's above blue.
To those I have not mentioned, that helped with this rally,
Thanks from all of us, please don't spend all your time in the gally.
I can tell by the MAK postings, from you guys up north,
You're anxious for us all to arrive safely and have fun of course.
I am looking forward to updates on your converted buses,
You know I'll take photos and show your new frame supporting trusses.
Slowrider is coming, to get some converting idea's,
Don't distract him from this goal, with too many beers.
Ed from NJ is counting minutes, as he is walking the floor,
Still watching the weather, a real bus nut to the core.
Nick is excited about showing us his new, installed jake brake's,
Slams down that brake pedal making doughnuts, He does, what it takes.
Mike Merril too has his bus all ready to go,
always revving his rpm's up like Nascar you know.
I don't remember all the names of the Delaware Gang,
An over site on my part, age & memory prevent me from getting the hang.
Got to get going soon, to finish with my chores,
Gotta wash down the S&S, check the locks on baggage doors.
If your still packing up, your Bus, car or RV,
Don't pack any problem, You'll enjoy yourself better, you're gonna see.
Bring plenty of water, drinks of all kind,
It'll be hotter than Haities, don't let the sun mess with your mind.
Well the length of this poem is again getting long,

Well I liked to just beat this poetry puppy to death but had a good time making up these rhymes for you. We all hope to see many of you we have never met before at Bruces rally in Delaware and to those that we do know and have sung with before, well, we are gonna kick some butt this weekend.
The new day begins here in a few moments, I will pack up my computer and go rest before we leave in 7 hours, this sure come fast and if you can't come this year, maybe with the feedback on this board after this rally you will realize again what your missing. Life is too short not to have fun, all these little rallies can charge your batteries of life and keep you running strong until the next rally that you can attend.
Drive safe, we will all look forard to you arriving and relaxing, nothing has a scheduled time to it I am told and please leave all your problems at home, just come have some fun.

Here is my last Delaware rhyming poem for this year.
1 Day and counting to the Delaware Rally,
Here I sit, just before midnight,
Yep, my wife and I while packing up, had one heck of a fight.
We argued over things to bring to our rally, your right I lost,
"You" packed everything, she said, who knows how much a Ticket would cost.
I checked the tire pressure, filled the tires with air to the recommended mark,
Don't want to blow a tire while overloaded, on any federal highway park.
The oil is all good, the coolant is fine,
I am all excited after all, to drive that S&S of mine.
The weather is still hot, it's not funny any more,
Gotta stay in the house more often, can't even open your door.
I hope it is cooler, up north in Delaware,
Got some new shorts, hope they're comfortable to wear.
I am sure things are all ready, at Bruce knees rally site,
Oh yea, I forgave my wife for letting me, start that stupid fight.
My lips are just salivating, to the thought of the food,
Being with new and old friends, puts you in a better mood.
It's not too late to come, if you pondered or had a diversion,
Come any way you can, with a car, S&S, RV or a conversion.
If you never partied, with the Delaware gang at a rally before,
When it is all over, you'd like them as neighbor living next door.
I have no idea, what plans are set to enjoy,
You can depend upon laughing, with all these girls and boys.
If singing is, part of your bag, watch what you're drinking or sound like the HAG,
Bill Glenn will have Karaoke they play in a bar, with his set up, you'll sound like a star.
The grills are all ready, they got gobs of great food,
We'll sit and mingle and call each other dude.
I know when the rally is over, and we are all packed up,
You'll feel a lot heavier, when driving home sitting on your butt.
You'll have memories to remember, recorded on my web site,

Looks like I am starting to babble, all over again,
I have to quit writing, or lose concentration from my friends.
