Title: 4106 models
Post by: Barn Owl on August 03, 2007, 09:02:55 PM
I have looked for 4106 models and have never seen any for sale (4104 owners are lucky). But I see web pages like the one below that show them. Are these custom made? Does anyone know where to get one?

Laryn -

In the 25+ years I was in the bus industry, I've seen/held one of these - Fast Fred has it, painted exactly like his coach.

Missed my opportunity a few years back to purchase them directly from the late Bob Redden, just didn't have the $$ at the time.

Obviously, have kicked myself ever since.  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Would love to have a couple myself. . .

FWIW & HTH. . .

;)

they can be had but are pricey.

If they are pricey then I'm not going to be able to get one.:'( But, if I had the money, where does one go and how much have they sold for? Bummer, production plastics sell for $16 on the sites I see. If I really had to have a model of my bus I should had bought an MCI, plenty of those out there. Who was Bob Redden? Did he make custom models? If that's his work he did a beautiful job.

Bob Redden was "The Dean of Bus Photography." As far as I know he did not do any bus models himself but marketed those of some master craftsmen.
More of his work, as well as footage of the craftsmen and their work can be seen on the videos available at www.reddenarchives.com
