Title: Greetings from the Trail
Post by: Buffalo SpaceShip on July 26, 2007, 07:27:02 AM
Hey Fellow Busnuts and Busnots:

We're about halfway through our Oregon Trail trip with my kids and one of their friends. We're having a blast seeing a few sites in WY and NE on the Trail. Today we're in Casper, WY, and will be at Independence Rock and Devil's Gate later today.

We're meeting up with Craig Shepard (gumpy) down near Encampment, WY tomorrow for some trout fishing and hiking over the weekend.

A few pics so far: http://www.brownland.org/blog/2007/07/26/greetings-from-the-trail/

The SpaceShip is running great. Can't tell if the ram scoop is making a huge dent in fuel consumption, but there might be a tiny bit less smoke (or maybe I'm just paying more attention to my right foot!).  :D The interior is hard to keep clean w/o my wife here to wrangle the messy rugrats!

There's not much Internet out here on the Trail, so I don't know if I'll be able to log on again. But expect my usual blathering self when I get back home and become bored with Wanderlust again.  ;D

Wagons Ho!

Sounds like a great trip!  Wish I were out there as well.  Sure would love to get some trout fishing in!  Say "hi" to Craig for me.

Brian that is awesome! Catch enough trout to send home with Gumpy so's he can bring them to the Bus Bash in September an we'll have a fish fry in yer honor since you won't be able to make it.

Oh and by the way if ya see a major hotel chain hotel (especially Super 8's) they are quite friendly with their Wifi just pull in the parking lot and log on! LOL!

Well if you get to eastern Oregon  stop for a visit. I am a few miles off I-84 and have full hookups but it's a hot desert place  Jerry

Great to see you "On The Road Again". Brian .... boy .... your kids are going to have such great stories to tell and times to reminisce when they are older. "gee remember when we were in the bus heading to ....." pricless.

How's the air scoops working
