I was able to get some gravel the other day for the coach to sit on, had it spread. So after all that I decide it's time to bring her home. It has been sitting at my father-in-laws place in a shed, which was nice. Just to hard to take the time to drive back and forth etc. to work on it.
I checked all fluids and cranked it up, sure was great to hear that ole DD fire up. Let it build air then proceded to bring her up to speed slowly, and I mean slowly, several back country roads that makes for a slow drive. It felt great to be back behind the wheel and watch peoples reactions as they drive by.
I decided to stop before the house to fill up with diesel before parking it. After feeding her about 60 gallons I went to check my new fuel gauge to see if all was well, guess what, it worked perfect. Hope it stays that way.
So I'm a Happy Camper now that I have the coach here to work on it when I want to, just have to step out the front door and walk about 40 feet. ;) Now the fun begins, start to work on my rusted breastplate area. That's right, I said the "R" word. ;D
Happy Trails,
Paul

i've been working more on mine now that it's out the front door. i put it into a heated barn for the winter last year thinking i could work on it. out of 5 months, spent 5 days.
so i know what you mean about convenient to work on.
stop saying R***. i think it's a bad omen. i find the occasional orange area underneath starting, so i clean it off and spray some anti-r*** grey paint on it. i hope to say ahead of it.
you had me fooled with all those posts and nice pic. here i thought you were driving all over like Dallas and Nick.
Good luck and have fun with the repairs. you're right, they are more fun to drive!
Hey Paul,
My wife and I come through Hawley on U.S. 83 each time we go to see inlaws in the Panhandle. Perhaps we could stop by sometime for a few minutes and chat about buses.
