Found this on GMC Busnuts and thought I would repost it here

This is a copy and past from another group. I know that Ray Hound was
a good guy and a member of this group.
Sorry for the bad news... I just thought you all should know...
We will miss ya Ray Hound

Ray Hound has died
This morning one of my DSU members received an e-mail from Gene
Burgess, Ray's
son. He had contacted that member because they had a map number close
to Ray's
number 66, and he didn't know who to contact. I have now exchanged
e-mails with
Gene, and have no reason to believe this is a hoax, but I have no other
independent confirmation. Here is Gene's message:
-------------
Ray Burgess (TheRayHound), passed away filling his
bus with gas at a gas station in Lewiston ID, the doctors tell me that
there
was no pain when he simply collapsed and could not be revived. He had a
basket of health problems, but most likely it was a diabetes link to a
raft
of heart problems that caused the end of his days. I personally want to
thank you for being such a good friend to him and providing much help,
camaraderie and friendship in the past few years. He was never happier
than
when he was on the road and seemed to love the whole crowd of
datastormers.
A loving son that could never make it to the "mainland" long enough
for one
long and good ride with his dad...
--------------
Gene said it was OK to post his e-mail address for those who might want to
contact him, which is gene.burgess@...
Gene lives in Hawaii, and will be away from a computer for a few days
as he
travels to pick up Ray's ashes. When I sent an e-mail to that address this
morning I initially got an automated response that he was away on a family
emergency, and provided the contact address of someone else. I sent an
e-mail to
the listed person, and I don't know if Gene was responding to my first
or second
message. So, don't be surprised if you e-mail Gene and don't get an
immediate
response.

In fond memory of Ray,
I first came into contact with him when I was having problems with my first Datastorm. He was a very friendly and helpful person. I then had about a weeks worth of solid conversation via e-mail and phonecalls when I tried to do my own upgrade.
I was just reading his posts last night on the datastorm website.
He will be missed as one of my first contacts with a "real Busnut".
Rest in Peace Ray, and God bless.

I will certinly miss him also,
Ray was one of the first guy's that helped me when I first joined the boards.
This is a tremendous loss to our comunity, this man had a wealth of information and experience.
He will be missed by many!
Nick-
Yes he will be missed! But at least he didn't suffer and now he's gone to that great big busnut rally in the sky! :( BK :(
I am sad to hear of Rays passing. When I first joined the board he was the one who answered alto of questions that I had about my 5B. It was kinda funny because he had one same make and year.
If any of his family members have the chance to read this , My heart goes out to everyone, even tho
he will be missed he's in a GREAT PLACE where we all hope to be someday.
Ray, Thank you for all your help and God Bless.
