Title: Log In Problems
Post by: Skykingrob on July 17, 2007, 08:11:23 PM
Hey Moderators
When I first established my profile last year, I put in a user name and password. At that time, I set the default to stay logged in forever. Of course, I don't stay logged in forever but have to log in whenever I visit the site. I have tried changing the log in time and it makes no difference in the problem as outlined below.
Now here is the problem: Whenever I log in, I use the quick retrive method to bring up the user name and then the password is filled in automatically. If I try to log in then, the program says "invalid log in". If I delete out the password before I ever try to log in or delete the password after I attempt to log in and receive the "invalid log in" and then re-enter the exact same passoword, it lets me right in. What gives?

Rob,
At sometime or another you or someone else typed in an invalid password which was saved. That password will come up before the original password because it was the one that was last used.

I'm not sure if what browser you are using, but if you use Firefox by Mozilla http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) you can go to the top bar where it says, "file" "Edit" "View" "History" "Bookmarks" "Tools" and "Help"
Click on "Tools"
scroll down to and click on "Options"
Click on the "Security" tab,
In the middle box on the right side is "Show Passwords", Click on it.
In the box that comes up, look for any references to busconversions.com and click on them to highlight.
At the bottom of the box, click on "remove".
Click "OK"
Close those boxes and reload the board, now you can log in with the proper password and save it.

If you are using Internet exploder, your on your own. It has a general tendency to suck green meat and rotten eggs
at the best of times. I quit using it years ago.

Maybe someone who likes Bill Gates can help you.
